Clemson the Team to Beat

It's only a matter of time before this four-star offensive lineman from the upstate officially gives his pledge to the Clemson Tigers.

Entering the heart of July, the Clemson Tigers remain the leader for four-star offensive lineman Brandon Thomas.

"Nothing has changed," he told in a recent interview. "Clemson is still my leader. After Clemson it would be South Carolina and Tennessee."

Despite the fact he'll likely play as a guard at the next level, the Palmetto state standout will get to show his athleticism next fall when he plays tight end for the Dorman Cavaliers.

The athletic lineman was one of the top performers at the Combine held in Charlotte in May when he clocked in at 4.69 in the 40-yard dash.

"We are playing some 7-on-7 in a summer league. Since I am playing tight end I get to do the 7-on-7. We have another game Tuesday and another on Wednesday," said Thomas.

When he's not playing 7-on-7 Thomas is working hard to prepare for his senior season.

"Right now we are working hard in the weight room. We get a little break. We were off today and tomorrow," said Thomas. The summer visits may be over for the Dorman standout.

"I am going to try to go down to South Carolina, but I am not sure if that will be possible with my schedule," said Thomas.

A verbal commitment could come at any time this summer.

"My timing is still the same. I still plan to make a decision this summer," he added. Top Stories
