DIARY: Holloman "Rejuvenated"

Clemson verbal commitment talks about the latest with Stephon Gilmore, his senior year and even throws out a little tidbit on the Clemson coaching staff as well in his latest diary for CUTigers.com

S Devonte Holloman Profile

Practices are going good. We are trying to get in shape for the season.

We have a lot of guys going both ways this year. We want to get all of the players in good shape. We are trying to all get stronger.

We had a 7-on-7 tournament last week. We played a lot of big schools like Rock Hill and Northwestern. We beat Northwestern on Thursday, but lost to them in the finals. We did beat Rock Hill two times. We were 19-1 in our last two 7-on-7 tourneys. I got to split time at quarterback with Stephon. I also played safety and a little receiver.

Moving to South Pointe has rejuvenated me as a player. The players are hungrier because they haven't won a championship yet. The guys are hungry and they want to work hard. The coaches are different in a good way.

Stephon and I are planning to go to the Clemson game against Alabama in the Georgia Dome. We aren't sure yet, but we would like to go down for that one.

I want to go down to see some of the practices in August at Clemson. If I go anywhere it will be to Clemson.

I talked with coach Vic and coach Napier on Monday night. I was with Stephon and Dominique. They were just checking up with me and they talked some with Stephon.

Coach Napier said the wedding was nice, but he was glad to be back. He said he had fun on his vacation.
