So, is four-star wide receiver Jamal Patterson committed to Stanford or not?

"I did not commit to Stanford [this weekend], but I am highly interested," Patterson told Monday evening. "They are definitely a top program with their academics and athletics. But I wouldn't call them my leader.

"I still want to lineup my official visits."

Which schools will definitely get official visits at the present moment?

"I am definitely going to take one to Stanford for the Southern California game," Patterson said. "So far Clemson and Central Florida are likely to get one too. I don't know the other two yet. As of now it is those three schools."

The verbal commitment timing is not clear for the Georgia standout, but one thing has him wanting to wait a while.

"I am not sure when I will [make a commitment]. I am trying to play out our season. Our quarterback led the state last year, but he is not getting enough interest right now. I want to stay open so some schools will get a look at him and some of the others on our team," said Patterson.

"Whenever I talk with my family and feel comfortable I will go ahead and do it."

Patterson did also say he already has the game in mind this fall when he's planning to visit Clemson.

"I know I am going to try to catch the Clemson game against Georgia Tech. It may be an official or it may be an unofficial and I will take the official after the season, but I know I plan to be there for that one," he said. "I have never been to a game in Death Valley. I hear it is wild."

Patterson finished his junior season with 44 catches for 933 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also helped lead his team to the 3A regional championship.
