Bowden: Just a couple of things that I was talking to the team about is that we have to find the best 11 and the 12th best defensive player and the 13th, 14th and make sure they get on the field. We played a lot of guys. We pulled a lot of the guys, the veterans, we pulled them early. When you do that you lose continuity and rythm on both sides of the ball. The team gets discouraged when they look around and see a new guy, new guy, this guy jumps of misses and assignment. We've got to find out now as far as who are our guys. The same thing with coverage and kicking and field goals and snaps so we played a whole lot of people. We are trying to get the right players in the right spots for Alabama. That was the biggest things we wanted to do today.
I thought Rendrick Taylor ran really well today, as did Andre Ellington.
Some of these touchdowns we are hitting could have been a sack. I need to see the safeties. Sadat Chambers missed a little bit of an assignment right there when it was almost a sack. We put the defense at a little bit of a disadvantage. We had a really quick wistle.
Richard Jackson kicked a 50 yard field goal. It looked pretty good. I think Dawson may have out punted today. We charter them all so we will have to look at that. I will have to see the stats, but that is still a good competition.
