Bowers: I think I did pretty good. There are still certain things I need to work on, but I plan on working on them the next two practices.
What do you plan on working on the next few practices?
Bowers: My footwork I need to get a little better and I need to drop my pad level just a little bit.
How do you fee like you have progressed since arriving early at Clemson?
Bowers: It was a big period that I had to progress coming into camp. I think I did pretty well. I have taken in a lot of the defense they put on us. I think I'm doing pretty good.
What are the coaches telling you as far as how much playing time you will see against Alabama?
Bowers: I haven't really heard anything about playing time. Me and Kevin are pretty much splitting up the reps. He's working mostly with the ones and I'm working mostly with the twos, but as long as one of us gets the job done I don't mind.
How much help as Kevin been to help you come in and learn the system?
Bowers: He has been a big help. If I have a missed assignment he is there to tell me what I did wrong and what I need to do to make it right.
How will it feel to have your former Bamberg teammate playing with you on the defensive line?
Bowers: That is going to be great. We have to make history with it though.
What do you think your chances are against Alabama?
Bowers: I think we can get the job done. Alabama is a great team, but we are getting prepared for it. I feel like it is going to be a good game.
