Rees Finishing Strong

Pearland, Texas native Trevor Rees continues to close out on a strong senior campaign by paving the way for his teammates in the 2002 Texas State Playoffs. Rees was instrumental yet again in a 34-24 win over Baytown Lee High School.

OL Trevor Rees had another outstanding game this past Saturday for the Pearland Oilers.

Pearland accumulated 442 yards of total offense, (395 yards rushing, 47 yards passing) with many of the runs straight up the middle behind Rees. Pearland won the game 34-24 against Baytown Lee and advanced to to the next round of the playoffs against Alief Hastings, 4:00 pm CST in the Astrodome next Saturday.

Rees continues to hear from Clemson coach Coach Justin Watts on a weekly basis and has recently added offers from Rice and Kansas.

Rees is scheduled for an official visit to Northwestern on December 6th, Clemson on January 10th, and Kansas on January 17th. Pittsburgh, Rice, and TCU, Colorado State and Army are the other schools battling it out for one of his last two visits.

The Rees family was unable to catch the Tigers' victory over archrival South Carolina this past Saturday, "Unfortunately, Trevor's game was at 7:00 PM and we were not able to watch Clemson beat up on South Carolina," said Rees' mother earlier Monday.

We will continue to keep you updated on Trevor Rees throughout the recruiting process.
