Boyd: Yeah, I felt like we played great in the second half. In the first half we messed up. We had little mistakes that messed us up, but I feel like we are going to improve on those for the next games.
Tell us about the long touchdown catch and run you had in the fourth quarter.
Boyd: It was tough. I had just a little room. The ball came perfect. I rely on my speed. I just burst it out and scored.
How did you handle all of those double and triple teams tonight?
Boyd: They were triple teaming me and doing some cheap shots. It was a lot of stuff. I can't really do much about that except tell the refs. I played through it. I feel like I did good tonight.
How do you feel the younger quarterbacks did tonight?
Boyd: I feel like the younger quarterbacks did well tonight. They will get better as the games progress. It was the first game so they were probably a little nervous. I was just trying to motivate my team to keep their heads up. You see what happened the second half. Like coach Briggs said this offense is explosive. You can score 50 points in this offense if you want to. We just have to work out a couple of things.
How could it have been different without the turnovers and mistakes?
Boyd: I feel like if we didn't make those little mistakes we could have definitely put up 40 points tonight.
Now that the focus is on your season does that give you more reasons to go ahead and amke your decision?
Boyd: Yes, I am making my final decision October 10. I don't think I need to wait until signing day. I don't think anybody needs to wait that long. I am going to take some visits and go to the colleges again. I am going to get some game time experience and make that decision.
How do you get along with coach Napier and where does Clemson stand right now?
Boyd: I like coach Napier and coach Swinney. Clemson is at the top of my list. Clemson is one of my favorite schools and one of my first loves. Clemson is always going to be at the top.
Which other schools are at the top for you right now?
Boyd: I like Florida and you know Auburn.
How are you going to work towards a decision the next few weeks?
Boyd: I will probably be gone for the next couple of weekends going to some games. My decision is going to come down to coaches and how coaches coach. I don't want to be around a coach that cusses, yells and flips like that. I want to be around a coach that can make me a better person and a better man in life. .
What visits do you have planned?
Boyd: I am definitely going to the Florida-Miami game and the Virginia Tech-Carolina game and probably the Clemson-State game. I still need to look at the schedules and figure out everything.
Who is going to help you make the decision?
Boyd: Coach Briggs is going to guide me through, with my mom and my mentor Joseph Johnson.
