GAME: The Citadel (1-0) at No. 22 Clemson (0-1)
LOCATION: Memorial Stadium (81,500)
TV: ESPN 360
TIME: 3:30 PM EST
FORECAST: It was thought earlier in the week tropical storm Hanna would be a factor in Saturday's game, but now it appears it won't be. Temperatures are expected in the upper 80s with only a slight chance of an afternoon thunderstorm.
SERIES: The Tigers lead the overall series 29-5-1 and have won all eight games played in Death Valley. The last time these two teams met was in Tommy Bowden's second year (2000) with Clemson winning 38-0. The Bulldogs last beat Clemson in 1931, 6-0.
COACHES: Clemson head coach Tommy Bowden is 69-43 (87-47 overall) entering his 10th season in Tigertown. He is 1-0 against the Bulldogs from Charleston. Meanwhile, The Citadel head coach Kevin Higgins is 17-17 (73-42-1 overall) in his third season with the Bulldogs. He has never coached against Clemson.
THE CITADEL KEY PLAYER: WR Andre Roberts. An All-American at the FCS level, Roberts is one the more explosive players the Tigers will see this season. Last year he caught 78 passes for over 1,050 yards and 10 touchdowns.
CLEMSON KEY PLAYER: QB Cullen Harper. Having lost both of his last two starts, senior quarterback Cullen Harper will be under the spotlight to put points on the board and lift the Tigers out of an offensive slump that dates back to the second half of the win over South Carolina a year ago. Also keep an eye on freshmen guards Mason Cloy and David Smith. Both players are making their first career starts.
INJURIES: Clemson: BE Ricky Sapp (knee) doubtful, DT Rashaad Jackson (quad) out, OG Barry Humphries (knee) out, CB Coty Sensabaugh (shoulder) out, Terrence Ashe (ankle) questionable.
QUOTE TO NOTE: "I think we've responded well so far. Everybody was pretty upbeat at practice the first couple of days this week. Everybody knows we have a ton of football left. All of our goals are still out there to be accomplished. This game, in the grand scheme of things, would have been great to win and it was definitely disappointing to lose but there's just a whole lot more out there than just one game." - Cullen Harper on practice this week.

PREDICTION: Clemson 42 The Citadel 20
The Citadel will bring plenty of offensive firepower to this game with WR Andre Roberts, one of the top playmakers in all of the FCS. As a result, don't be surprised to see an uncomfortable number of points posted against the Clemson defense. Offensively, look for the Tigers to get back on track as James Davis and C.J. Spiller have the kind of games we haven't seen in quite some time. Also, don't be surprised to see Willy Korn see significant snaps in the third and fourth quarters should the first teamers put the game out of reach early.
PRE-GAME SHOW INFO: The Tiger Pre-game Show with Roy Philpott and Scott Rhymer will be broadcasting live from Lawn at Littlejohn from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM Saturday afternoon.
