DIARY: Holloman Visiting Vols

In his latest recruiting diary, Clemson verbal commitment Devonte Holloman talks about his trip with Stephon Gilmore to Tennessee this weekend as well as another strong game last week in a 35-7 win over Clover.

S Devonte Holloman Profile

We won 35-7 over Clover on Friday. It was supposed to be a good game. They were talking junk in the paper. We listened to it and played off that. We played good defensively. Our offense picked up finally and we started rolling.

I scored a touchdown on offense, but they called it back for a holding penalty. It was a screen pass and I went about 60 yards. I had about 15 tackles on defense.

I haven't heard from too many schools yet. I have one official visit setup this weekend at Tennessee. They play against Florida.

I am still committed to Clemson. On the visits I will be comparing other schools to Clemson. Right now I still see Clemson as the best fit.

My dad just wants me to make sure I made the right decision. He will support my decision.

I didn't get a chance to watch the Clemson game Saturday. I went to a cookout on Saturday.

Coach Napier called me this week. I told him I was visiting again. He explained the whole situation to me. He explained the young talent they have playing on the offensive line, defensive line and at linebacker. He was trying to reassure me that everything would be okay.

I am still recruiting Stephon for Clemson. I tell him I hope he appreciates the honestly with coach Napier. Some coaches will just tell you want they think you want to hear.

I don't have too much pressure since I am committed to Clemson. Right now my plans are set. I am still planning on enrolling at Clemson in January.

I am planning on making a home game soon. I will be down for the Maryland game next weekend.
