East Burke (N.C.) standout Tyler Shatley visited Clemson for the second time this month on Saturday.

"It was fun," he told after his trip. "It was a good game. Clemson played really well. They played pretty good. When the second team came in they kept the scoring going."

The trip to Death Valley allowed Tyler some more time to speak with the Clemson coaching staff.

"I talked to most of the coaches. I talked to coach Bowden a little. We just talked about their season so far. He talked about how Clemson is getting back on track. He said things are going pretty good now. We also talked about my season and stuff," said Shatley.

Expect to see the 6-3, 260 pound standout back in Death Valley more this year.

"I am not sure about this weekend yet. I will be back sometime this season," said Shatley.

Which prospects has Tyler been keeping in touch with lately?

"I talk to J.K. Jay a lot," he said. "I met a couple of other prospects at the game this week when I was at the game. I met a couple of lineman and some guys I went to camp with."

The future Tiger, who also maintained he's firm to Clemson, said he's having an outstanding senior season so far.

"We are doing pretty good. We are 2-2 right now. I am averaging about 85 yards per game on about 10 carries. I am also playing nose guard for two or three series per game," said Shatley.

"I think we are going to be pretty good. We are kind of on a role right now. We kind of struggled at the beginning of the year, but we are doing pretty good now." Top Stories
