Boyd: They were playing about seven yards off, kind of bailing. The screen came perfect. They all closed in on me real quick, but I bounced off one tackle and broke it for a touchdown.
Did you injure your leg on that play?
Boyd: Yeah, a linebacker took a head shot right at my thigh. It swelled up a little bit for the whole game, but it is fine.
Are you struggling to still find the right quarterback?
Boyd: Yeah, I don't know about that quarterback situation. Whoever is hot gets in, but we messed up on a lot of stuff.
How did you enjoy the official visit to Oklahoma last weekend?
Boyd: It was a real good visit. I liked it a lot so I would say Oklahoma is definitely in the running.
Which other official visits do you have lined up?
Boyd: I know I am taking official visits to Missouri, Illinois and Florida so far, but I don't really know the dates right now. I need to look at my schedule and plan them out.
How did your visit to Clemson go a couple of weeks ago?
Boyd: It was a good visit. We came a little late. I brought four other players with me so coach Napier and coach Swinney can look at them. They had a good game. They gave it to their athlete C.J. Spiller who went off. I liked the game a lot.
Which players went with you and which ones are Clemson talking to?
Boyd: Willy Kennedy our safety/linebacker, Darius Edwards our No. 1 who plays quarterback. He will probably be recruited as a corner. We brought our linebacker No. 10 Christian Easley and our slot receiver No. 28 Marquis Kerns.
Tell us about your sophomore fullback.
Boyd: Yeah he looks pretty good. He is a young talent. I think we maybe need to get him the ball a little more so he can pound it in there and soften up the defense, but he is going to be good.
Are you still planning to wait until all of your official visits to make a decision?
Boyd: Yeah, I want to soak it all in and see what everybody has got.
What are you hearing from coach Napier and coach Swinney?
Boyd: The same things, that I can play as a true freshman. They say I am different from other receivers. I am in the middle of the height, about 6-2 or 6-3. I am fast like a slot receiver, so I mean man they want me bad.
Did you get a chance to see any of their game Saturday against Maryland?
Boyd: I saw the highlights. I heard they were rolling in the first half, then they hit some bumps in the road the second half. They will pick it up.
