The Latest on Cullen Harper

According to several sources, Clemson quarterback Cullen Harper has elected to have surgery this Sunday on his left shoulder.

However, he is expected to be available to play in Saturday's game against Georgia Tech, CUTigers.com has learned.

Harper is currently listed as the second-team signal caller behind redshirt freshman Willy Korn, who is slated to make his first start at Clemson against the Yellow Jackets.

Former head coach Tommy Bowden announced last Friday he would start Korn to try and "spark the offense" and new interim head coach Dabo Swinney has maintained he will start Korn as well.

Harper originally injured the shoulder against N.C. State on Sept. 13.

He also has had problems with his right shoulder, dating back to last year, but had surgery before the bowl game against Auburn to correct those issues.
