Running back Andre Callender finished his senior season with 1,400 yards and 12 touchdowns, despite only playing in eight games because of torn ligament in his elbow.

Callender was all set to visit Boston College this past weekend, but he decided to reschedule it. "I changed it to January 17," he said.

"That's when I'll go to Boston College. My first visit will be to Wake Forest this weekend. Then I have Clemson for January 10. I'm looking at all three of them the same right now. My last two visits will probably be to Michigan State and UNC, but I haven't set those up yet."

Callender had an in-home visit from Wake Forest last week and Clemson's scheduled to come by next. "Others have talked about it but those are the only two for sure right now."

Callendar also maintains that he'll wait until after his official visits to make a decision. "I'd like to visit those schools, and I'm not going to make a decision until after I take all of my visits," added the senior running back.

We will continue to keep you updated on Andre Callender throughout the rest of the recruiting process. Callender, along with Rodney Kinlaw are two of the top prospects on the Tigers' board at running back for the 2003 class.

The Tigers' coaching staff has made some headway with their recruiting up north, thanks in most part to the addition of defensive coordinator John Lovett. Top Stories
