LB Quandon Christian Profile

Saturday afternoon Clemson verbal commitment Quandon Christian visited Death Valley where he watched the Tigers whip the Gamecocks.

"It was a good game," he told "Clemson played great from the first quarter to the forth quarter. It was a little one-sided. The Clemson defense came out to play. Thunder and Lightning came out to play."

The visit to Death Valley allowed Quandon to also talk with several of his future teammates.

"I talked to Rod [McDowell], Malliciah [Goodman], J.K. [Jay] and Corico [Hawkins] at the game. We talked about staying firm and we talked about the outcome of the game," said Christian.

What does he think of Monday's announcement of Dabo Swinney being named Clemson's new head coach?

"I think it is great," he said. "He is well deserved. He is the one that recruited me. He will be good for the head coaching job."

Does the hiring of Dabo Swinney change his visit plans?

"I don't know. I will probably still make that trip to N.C. State. That will be the only one along with Clemson," replied Christian. "But I am solid. I am solid with Clemson."

There won't be much rest for the talented athlete as he has already moved from one sport to the next.

"I am playing basketball now. We play our first game on December 12," said Christian. " But I do have one more high school football game. I am playing in the Offense Defense All-star game in Conway." Top Stories
