"I got all choked up watching the press conference. He has a special place in my heart," Jay told CUTigers.com earlier this week. "I believe it is the right choice for the program. He will take it places nobody can. I know me, Malliciah and others believe in him. He is someone I respect and someone I want to play for at Clemson."

Saturday the Christ Church standout was on hand to watch the Tigers whip the Gamecocks.

"It was awesome. There is nothing better than beating Carolina, especially when you have had a down year," said Jay.

The All American sported a hand made "All in" shirt at the game on Saturday.

"Alie Stern at my school helped me make it. Coach Swinney told me the shirt is what put him over the top," said Jay.

For a few weeks J.K. had looked at other college destinations, but early last week he made his final decision.

"I recommitted to Clemson on Tuesday. I called coach Richt and told him I was going to stick with Clemson," said Jay.

Clemson assistant coach Brad Scott also stopped by for a two-hour visit on Tuesday as well to solidify things even more.

Jay, who has been the unquestioned leader of the 2009 recruiting class is already working hard to help the Tigers finish strong in recruiting.

"I have already talked to Justin Green and Bryce Brown. I am still cool with Sam [Montgomery]. We finally have a head coach and some stability around here," said Jay.

The Shrine Bowl standout will be back in Death Valley next weekend to support a future teammate.

"My little brother has an All-star game. After that I am going over to see my boy Rod [McDowell] play," said Jay.
