Shortly after being named the new head coach at Clemson Dabo Swinney hit the phones to talk with some of the top recruiting targets for the Tigers. One of the first calls he made was to this top offensive lineman at Hargrave Military Academy.

Four-star offensive lineman Bobbie Massie was glad to hear that coach Swinney had the interim tag removed from his title this week.

"That is a good hire for them," he told CUTigers.com. "He came in and turned them around from a losing season to wining season, and they beat South Carolina."

New Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney called the prep star to make sure he knew he was one of the Tiger's most important recruiting targets.

"I heard from coach Swinney Monday night. We just talked about he is now the coach. We talked about recruiting. He called the players he thinks can make a difference in the program. He told me he thinks I can come in and have a chance to start," said Massie.

Clemson assistant coach Billy Napier is working hard to keep the Tigers near the top.

"I have talked with him a couple of times in the past few days," said Massie.

One of Bobbie's teammates, Jonathan Meeks is high on the Tigers.

"I am not sure what he will do. He likes Clemson a lot. He is from South Carolina and they really need defensive backs," said Massie.

The official visit tour is starting to take shape.

"I am going to Miami on December 12. I am going to Alabama on the 23rd and Georgia on the 30th. I might go to Ole Miss this weekend," said Massie.

The Tigers are fighting for one of the final official visits. A visit from the Clemson staff this week could cement the visit.

"That is still up in the air right now. I have one or two visits left. I may take one to Clemson," said Massie. "I am still going to make my announcement on signing day."

What will the Hargrave standout consider when selecting his college destination?

"It comes down to the people. I want to find out who is real and who is fake. They all have nice facilities and nice academics. The people are what make them different," replied Massie.

When asked if he has a leader, Massie responded, "Nobody is leading right now. I don't have one yet."
