Four Clemson coaches visited Hargrave earlier this week to meet with Jonathan Meeks and several of his teammates.

"Coach Powell, coach Rumph, coach Napier, and coach Scott came by this week," he told Thursday night. "It went really good. They came and talked to us about coming for the visit. They talked about recruiting and stuff like that. I am just excited about going."

Friday the prize recruit will travel to Clemson for an official visit.

"I will be coming to Clemson tomorrow. Onterio and Leon are coming also," said Meeks. "My parents are going to be there with me too."

What does the former Rock Hill standout hope to see this weekend?

"I want to see how practice goes. I want to see how the players interact with the coaches. I want to learn more about the town of Clemson itself," replied Meeks.

The three Hargrave standouts have discussed the possibility of playing together at the next level.

"We always talk about that. I'm not sure if anyone will be committing this week," said Meeks.

What are the chances that Jonathan will decide to pull the trigger with a commitment this weekend?

"I don't believe I will do that. I will wait another couple of weeks," replied Meeks.

The wait won't be long as the former Palmetto state standout plans to enroll early, but one more visit is in the plans.

"I am going to try to take a visit to Florida on the 19th," said Meeks.

When asked if he has a current leader, Meeks responded, ‘No, I just have a top four. My top four are Clemson, North Carolina, N.C. State and Florida." Top Stories
