First day on the job out here today, how did it go?
Harbison: It went good. Got thrown into the fire but it's good. Great athletes out there. They moved good.
You were in 1997, can you compare the athletic ability you saw today to back then?
Harbison: Clemson always attracts talent. They were moving good so I'm impressed. Clemson always attracts good athletes.
Do you try to adjust to what your guys are doing considering its the end of their season?
Harbison: I'm going to adjust to them. It's easier for one guy. They got a good system.
What does it mean to be back at Clemson?
Harbison: It's like coming home. It's like coming home.
What about your relationship with Coach Swinney?
Harbison: He's my brother. I love him. Great guy. Family man. Loves the Lord. He's got a lot of energy and a team will take on his personality and he'll do great things around here.
Has he told you your recruiting territory yet?
Harbison: Not necessarily because he still putting the pieces together. [In 1997] mostly it was the Carolinas and upper Georgia.
Ever get this cold in Starkville?
Harbison: It gets cold but it was a good day today. A good day.
Has much changed here since you were here last?
Harbison: A lot of change. This place has always been a beautiful place. I'm from the Carolinas so this is God's country. I'm just blessed to be a part of it.
What attracted you to this job?
Harbison: I've been here before plus Coach Swinney- you have a guy that has a lot of energy and a vision.
Can you teach these guys anything in two weeks?
Harbison: Well the bottom line is once I learn the system and see what these guys are capable of doing with some nuggets. They have a great defense as it is. If I can give them some nuggets to learn to read things better. They are doing a great job now. I'm just trying to help out where I can. As each day goes, I'll know more. See a little tape. I've mostly been on the road recruiting [so far].
