Oregon Really Impresses Gilliam

Lincoln High's Ryan Gilliam wavered about visiting the Oregon Ducks for quite some time, but after making the long trip this past weekend, there's little doubt that he made the right decision. The 4-star cornerback talks about his weekend in this report.

For Ryan Gilliam, the recruiting process was thought to have been an easy process... take your visits and sign with Florida State. But something strange happened. Gilliam fell in love with Oregon.

"Visiting Oregon was the best and I mean the best experience of my life," said Gilliam, of his official visit to the Ducks this weekend. "I feel blessed to have had the opportunity. The people were just incredible and so nice. They actually look you in the eye and say hello. That is the closest place to Lincoln that I have ever seen."

Gilliam is a two-way standout from Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln High School. He is scheduled to visit Clemson (1-10), Florida (1-17), Tennessee (1-24), and Florida State (1-31). But nothing may touch his visit to the West.

"They made such an impression on me. The atmosphere is awesome and the facilities are second to none because of Phil Knight. I actually met him and that was awesome. They also have a graduation rate of 88%. Oregon is making me think about coming out west. I mean it."
