GAME: Clemson (7-5, 4-4 ACC) vs. Nebraska (8-4, 5-3 Big 12)
LOCATION: Gator Bowl, Jacksonville, Fla. (68,000)
TV: CBS (Craig Bolerjack, Steve Beuerlein and Dan Fouts)
TIME: 1:00 PM EST
SPREAD: Tigers by 3
SERIES: The Huskers and Tigers have met just once- the 1982 Orange Bowl. Clemson beat Nebraska 22-15 to capture its only National Championship in the gridiron.
COACHES: A pair of first-year head coaches will be on display in this game. Clemson's Dabo Swinney is 4-2 in his first six games on the job in Tigertown while Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini is 8-4 in his first year on the job as well. Neither has served as a head coach against the other school before.
CLEMSON KEY PLAYER: RB James Davis. Clemson senior running back needs 112 yards to set the school's all-time leading rushing record and if he can get there, it likely bodes well for the Tigers' chances in this game.
NEBRASKA KEY PLAYER: QB Joe Ganz. The senior quarterback has directed the Cornhuskers' West-Coast offense to near perfection the last half of the season and would be the top-rated passer in just about any league in the country outside of the Big 12. He has to continue to make good decisions with the football and take the underneath routes the Clemson defense gives him to give the Nebraska the best opportunity for victory.
CLEMSON QUOTE TO NOTE: "Like I told my team, this is a collision course coming here now. We are only giving up 17 or less and there's only been one team that's hung 400 [yards] in the last nine games in Florida State and we lost. Those two things can't stay the same. Something has got to give. And hopefully it's not the Clemson defense." - Dabo Swinney.
NEBRASKA QUOTE TO NOTE: "There wasn't a game this season where we went in thinking we couldn't win. THe turning point in the season was actually when we lost to Texas Tech. We had some inexperience in some different areas. But when we walked off that field I don't think there was a player in the locker room who didn't think we were better than the team that beat us." - Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini.
FORECAST: Cooler. Partly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of rain showers. Highs in the upper 50s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

PREDICTION: Clemson 34 Nebraska 24
It's a tale of two teams- Clemson's outstanding defense versus Nebraska's high-scoring offense. Expect a lot of points in what should be one of the more exciting bowl games of the year as James Davis gets the all-time rushing record and the Tigers win their fourth game in a row.
