Tigers Pull Even with Tennessee

Clemson has now pulled even with Tennessee for this vastly underrated tackle. Read on to find out what's next for one of South Carolina's top prospects.

OT JerQuari Schofield Profile

Did the Clemson Tigers pull even with Tennessee for one of fastest rising prospects in the south this weekend?

CUTigers caught up with South Aiken's JerQuari Schofield to find out the latest after his official visit to Clemson.

"I would give the visit an eight on a scale of one to 10," Schofield said after his trip. "The basketball game was probably the highlight for me. That was cool."

Schofield was hosted by Jamarcus Grant, and the two apparently got along really well.

"We did get along great," he said. "We had a great time together and he showed me around."

Schofield, of course, has been committed to Tennessee for quite some time. Did this weekend's trip to Clemson change his mind?

"You can say Clemson is even now with Tennessee," he admitted. "I would say that. I didn't commit but you could say the two schools are even."

Schofield is now set to take an official visit to Knoxville later this month and will make his final decision after that trip.

"I had a good time in Clemson," he added. "It was a nice trip so we'll see."

Schofield is currently rated two stars, but he is expected to rise significantly in Scout.com's next rankings update later this month.
