Tigers on Deck?

The four-star receiver maintains his last official visit will be to Clemson later this month.

WR Jamal Patterson Profile

4-star receiver Jamal Patterson and his family took an official visit to Stanford this past weekend, and by all accounts, they left very impressed.

"It was great out there," Patterson told CUTigers in a recent interview. "It was a breath taking experience. I went out with my parents and my sister. It was the first time out there for my mom and sister. They loved it."

What were the highlights of his trip?

"I liked everything," he replied. "I like the campus. They have nice facilities. I got along well with some of the other commits. All of the coaches are enthused about the future. I got to meet some of the faculty."

There is still one visit that the All American plans to take.

"I don't have a date setup yet with Clemson. Because of the dead period I haven't talked with the coaches this week," Patterson said. "I am going to see how everything falls out.

"They wanted me to come on Jan. 9, but I have had the Stanford visit planned for a while. I have to sit down and figure that out." The Clemson visit should be finalized over the weekend.

"I will wait until this weekend and talk with the coaches. Then we will decide on the visit," said Patterson.

How firm is the prize recruit with his commitment to Stanford after the official visit?

"I was watching things with all of the rumors about coach Harbaugh might be leaving," he added. "If he was to leave hopefully they would name a coach before signing day. I would still probably keep my commitment to Stanford if he left as they would still probably run a similar offense.

"There aren't too many triple option teams out there so I wouldn't have to worry about that."
