Jeff Scott Visits Top 100 Prospect

Fresh of a visit to Clemson last weekend, Scout 100 junior Brandon Willis got a visit from Clemson assistant coach Jeff Scott Thursday. Did the recent visit to Clemson move the Tigers up on his list of favorites? CUTigers.com has the latest.

Clemson wide receivers coach Jeff Scott stopped by Byrnes High School (Duncan, S.C.) Thursday to checkup on Scout.com four-star defensive tackle Brandon Willis and several of his teammates.

"Coach Jeff Scott was over here today," Willis told CUTigers.com. "He came and watched us. I met him when I went to the game. He told me he would be the recruiting coordinator since coach Napier was taking over as offensive coordinator."

"It is going good. I just got offered by California a couple of days ago. I am up to eight offers now," said Willis.

Last weekend the four-star prospect and several of his teammates visit Clemson.

"It was a good visit. We got to talk to coach Jeff Scott. I got to see coach Rumph for a bit. We got to see some of my former teammates. The game was also good. There were a lot of people there," said Willis.

The Byrnes defender also watched the Tigers play ball Wednesday night, but he wasn't pulling for the Tigers.

"I am a big UNC basketball fan. It was a good first half, but then they took over," said Willis.

Did the visit to Clemson help the Tigers move up any on his list of favorites?

"I think it is about the same," he said. "They have new coaches so I want to see how they will do. I will probably go to one of their camps. Me and coach Rumph are cool. I know coach Steele is a good coach. I want to get to know him better."

When asked about his current favorites, Willis responded, "Florida State, North Carolina and California."

Several other visits are planned over the next month including a return trip to Tigertown.

"I am going to junior day at Florida State on the 31st. I am coming back to Clemson on February 21st. That is it for now," said Willis.
