Kinlaw Set with Four Schools

Stratford running back Rodney Kinlaw had a productive day in Rock Hill on Saturday. Despite facing a defense with overwhelming speed, the senior running back popped a few plays for nice yardage. Kinlaw gives us the latest on his recruitment this report.

"I felt like both teams played a pretty good game, they just put points on the board and we didn't," said Kinlaw. For me personally, I just tried my best, that's all I can do out there."

In terms of recruiting, Rodney Kinlaw is one of those guys that doesn't like naming favorites, especially when it comes to an overall leader.

"Nah, I don't have a favorite right now, but I can give you my top four. Virginia Tech, Clemson, Penn State, and USC would be my top four right now. I've got official visits set up with those schools too," said Kinlaw.

With the naming of those schools, it looks like Kinlaw may have eliminated N.C. State from the running just recently. In our last interview with the senior running back, he indicated that a trip to Raleigh was set for the middle of January.

Now it appears that he'll go up to Happy Valley instead. We will continue to keep you updated on one of the Lowcountry's top backs, right up through signing day 2003.

CUTigers Notes:
Kinlaw had a productive afternoon, even though the South Carolina offense really struggled moving the ball. We'll have plenty of video highlights on Kinlaw and most of the other big names later in the week, but be assured that Kinlaw was one of the top backs on the field.

He caught a couple of balls out of the backfield and ran to daylight better than anyone else the South Carolina team could put back there. He also held onto the ball on two occasions when a linebacker and a cornerback had a full head of steam headed his way.
