2 New Teams Emerge for Overmyer

David Overmyer has just completed a remarkable high school season in which his Parkview team won a 3rd straight state title. With 45 straight victories, Parkview has set the Georgia record for most consecutive wins.

Overmyer was a big part of that dominance, and college football recruiters are hot after the talented offensive tackle prospect.

"Man, it was something special to be a part of this team in high school," said Overmyer. "Now that the season is over though, I'm probably going to take my visits and enjoy them a little bit now. I still have my three visits set up to South Carolina, Clemson, and Florida State. My last two visits will probably go to Arkansas and Ole Miss."

"Arkansas' line coach, Coach Markuson, came by the house for a visit, and I really liked him. My parents liked him too, and they want me to go out for a visit. I may fly up there during the week some time for a visit, and then go to Ole Miss on the last weekend in January," added the senior offensive lineman.

When recruiting a player from Parkview, coaches know they will get a well disciplined, well coached hard worker. Throw in the fact that Overmyer is 6-5 and 270 pounds, and it's not wonder why he is one of the most heavily recruited offensive line prospects in the south.
