"Seven of our eight conference opponents went to bowl games last year. So that's the first thing I see. Virginia is the only the one that wasn't at a bowl, but they are getting their quarterback back and he's a good player so they could be much better. It will be a good challenge for us. Looking forward to it.

"I like the fact we don't have back to back road games. I like where our open date comes in. I guess I'm just destined to have three days to get ready for Georgia Tech as a head coach here. That's the one thing that really jumps out at me.

"We have to open with a tough Middle Tennessee team. A team that beat Maryland. A team that took several teams to the wire last year and has had some big wins. And obviously Coach Stockstill is very familiar with Clemson. They have a new coordinator so there will be some unknowns there. A very tough opponent and then we have to turn around a play a tough Georgia Tech team at their place Thursday night.

"We've got a lot of work to do but we are really looking forward to it. We are excited about it."
