RB Shuffles Visits

Rodney was unable to make his official visit to Penn State earlier this month due to bad weather. He adjusted his visit schedule to accommodate a trip to Happy Valley.

"I cancelled North Carolina State," Rodney said Monday morning. "I'm visiting Penn State that weekend. I have South Carolina on the 20th."

Kinlaw will visit Clemson on January 10 followed by Penn State on January 17, South Carolina on January 20 and Virginia Tech on January 24.

"Everyone's pretty much even."

Rodney recently returned from the Shrine Bowl where his South Carolina All-Stars lost to the All-Stars from North Carolina by a score of 28-0. In the game, Rodney had only 1 carry for 1 yard and 3 receptions for 28 yards.

"I guess [our coach] just wanted to pass the ball. Each of the backs only got one or two carries. He just didn't give the backs the ball that much."

Penn State Coach Bill Kenney is recruiting Rodney as a running back.

"I'm pretty interested in them. My interest level in them is high."

Although he did not attend any home games at Penn State this season, Rodney is no stranger to Beaver Stadium.

"I was at a game about two or three years ago. I've been to maybe five or six Penn State games."

Kinlaw is the nephew of Penn State great Courtney Brown. Courtney is Rodney's father's half-brother.

"I talked to Courtney about a week before I left for the Shrine Bowl. He just said to choose the best place for me because he feels that wherever I go I'll play as long a I work hard."
