LB Ladarius Owens Profile

6-2, 220 pound linebacker prospect Ladarius Owens visited Clemson for Junior Day on Saturday and came away very impressed with what the Tigers had to offer.

"I enjoyed it a lot," he told CUTigers.com. "They really impressed me. The showed me a lot that I liked.

"I hung around with coach Cheese and coach Steele most of the time. I have a good relationship with both of them. They showed me a lot of good things and got me thinking about Clemson."

Who else came on the visit to Clemson?

"I took a couple of guys from the area up with me. Coach Cheese told me to bring them up. He wants to get their highlight tapes and take a look at them," said Owens.

Two more trips are planned for the next few weeks including a return trip to Tigertown.

"I am going to either Tennessee or Mississippi State this weekend. Then I know I am going to come back to Clemson to spend a weekend and checkout the campus and catch a basketball game," said Owens.

When asked if he has a leader, Owens responded, "Right now it is real close between Clemson and Alabama."

A decision could come this summer from the prize recruit.

"I am not sure when I will make my decision. I will probably wait until after the spring. I want to see who else shows interest. Then I will probably sit down and see where things are," said Owens.

Owens recorded 92 tackles, 18 sacks and three forced fumbles as a junior.
