Billie Still on the Fence?

Gamecock verbal commitment Tremaine Billie has indicated for the last few months that he is still trying to decide between South Carolina and Clemson. Have things moved in either direction for this top running back headed into next weekend?

Tremainie Billie pledged his verbal commitment to South Carolina back in the summer, but since that time, he's changed his mind several times.

"I'm still pretty much undecided and I still stand 50-50 with Clemson and Carolina," said Billie. "I've got my visit with Clemson next weekend, and then the weekend after that I'm going to South Carolina, then Maryland."

Billie, like Maurice Nelson and Marcus Howard, participated in the North-South All-Star in Myrtle Beach back in early December. It was at that time he when the reports started to surface about him possibly changing his mind.

"I wanted to see if there was more out there than Carolina offered me," said Billie. "I want to be close to home, but I don't need to be that close to home. I'm still deciding between those two schools, and I'm going to wait until after I take my official visits before announcing."
Billie rushed for over 1,500 yards and 19 touchdowns for 3A Dreher High School in Columbia. Clemson, South Carolina, and Maryland are all recruiting him as a running back. Skip Holtz is his recruiter from South Carolina while Brad Scott has been in charge for Clemson.

While a visit to Maryland is still in the works, don't be surprised to see the Columbia native to make his decision before the trip actually takes place. As it stands now, not much movement has occured here, and it will ultimately come down to his official visits the next two weekends.
