Howard Still Favoring Georgia?

Marcus Howard is one of the top linebackers in the south this year, and he has been paying attention to what goes on in the post season for his three favorite teams. Clemson was the team to beat, but Georgia and N.C. State have now made up serious ground for his services.

Georgia had a slight lead before the bowl games. The bulldogs have maintained their lead, but a third team has begun to sneak up.

"I think Georgia still has a slight lead because of the bowl games," said Howard. "But NC State is starting to move up a lot too after the way they beat Notre Dame. I still like Georgia, Clemson and NC State the best right now in that order, but they're all pretty close together. I don't know if I'm still planning on visiting South Carolina or not. Coach [Charlie] Strong was recruiting me for them."

Howard will visit his old favorite, Clemson, this weekend. The Tigers were his early leader, and they will try and move back in to the top spot.

CUTigers.com Notes
While Howard has maintained for the last few weeks with three top schools in Clemson, Georgia, and N.C. State, don't underestimate the power of this weekend's official visit.

Several players who have already committed to the Tigers have been in contact with Howard regularly, and this could very well pay significant dividends down the road.

We believe this will likely come down to Clemson and Georgia in the end. The bowl wins for N.C. State and Georgia will work in their favor, but the results of that one game won't be as big once signing day comes rolling around. Stay tuned, this one is going down to the wire.
