Georgia Safety Still Hearing from Clemson?

Last time we spoke with Georgia native Larry White, the Tigers, Bulldogs, and Jayhawks were all hot on the recruiting trail. Has Larry set an official visit to Clemson this weekend? Find out what one of the metro-Atlanta area's top players had to say in this report.

Larry White, a 3-star prospect out of Banneker High School in Atlanta, Georgia has been hearing from schools all over the country recently. How about the Tigers, are they still in the mix?

"Well right now I'm looking at a couple of schools. I'm headed up to Tennessee Chattanooga this weekend, and then Middle Tennessee the next weekend, and then onto Kansas and maybe either Georgia or Clemson," said White.

"I haven't heard from Clemson in a while, really since before their bowl game," added White. "I'm not sure what's going on, but I'd still like to get up there. I'm still in regular contact with Georgia though, I hear from them pretty regularly."

White is being recruited by most schools as a linebacker, even though both Georgia and Clemson want him as a safety. The senior finished his last year of high school football with 130 total tackles, 2 interceptions and a touchdown on an interception return.

"The smaller schools like me as a linebacker, and that's where I would prefer to play, but I guess it really doesn't matter. I'm planning running track this year and work on my speed, so it should all work out either way," said White.

Several other schools are also making a late push for his services, including Michigan State.

"Yeah Michigan State is starting to recruit me pretty hard, they weren't able to get in touch with me for a while, but they are now, so we'll see how that goes too."

We will continue to keep you updated on Larry White, right up through signing day.
