The Tigers will be one of four teams to play in the double-elimination tourney, as the 64-team field will be announced on ESPN on Monday at 12:30 p.m.
Clemson was one of four ACC schools chosen to host a regional. The ACC led all conferences in host sites. The other ACC schools are Florida State, Georgia Tech, and North Carolina. Other host schools
include Arizona State, Cal State Fullerton, East Carolina, Florida, LSU, Louisville, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Rice, Texas, Texas Christian, and UC Irvine.
This is the 12th time since 1975 that Clemson has played host to a regional, fourth-most among the 16 host schools. This is the first time Clemson has played host to a regional since 2006. It is also the
10th year Clemson has hosted a regional in Jack Leggett's 16 seasons as head coach of the Tigers.
The Tigers are 35-7 all-time in home NCAA Tournament games, including a 32-5 record under Leggett.
The Tigers (40-19) will be making their 22nd NCAA Tournament in the last 23 years and their first since 2007.
