Howard Names Clemson #1

Marcus Howard was hosted by big Mo Fountain this weekend in Clemson, and after a couple days in Tiger Town, we found out whether or not it was enough to get him to make a verbal commitment. Well, was it?

"Well I know 4 players committed Friday night," said Howard. "I don't know the names but I know four of them did. I think a couple more committed yesterday. It was really a great weekend and I look forward to getting back up here."

Howard was hosted by Mo Fountain, and apparently, the defensive lineman left quite an impression on him.

"Mo was great, we had a great time, and I also spent a lot of time with Coach Lovett and he showed me the depth chart and what they've got coming up and it looks real good as far as linebackers go right now," added Howard.

In terms of a leader, Howard now names a new school as his top choice.

"I'd say that Clemson has now overtaken Georgia, they have, but I still need to make sure and take my visit down there. I really like Coach Lovett and he seems to think that I can play next year, which would be great," said Howard.

"Early playing time would be nice, but I'll redshirt if they want me too. I didn't verbally commit, I need to take my visit to Georgia just to be sure. This was a big weekend for Clemson, we all had a great time," added the speedy linebacker.

We will continue to keep you updated on Marcus Howard, right up through signing day.
