Dukes- "Clemson is It"

Offensive tackle Marion Dukes was hosted by Greg Walker this past weekend on his official visit to Tiger Town. Were the past couple of days enough to get him to cancel an impending visit to see the Maryland Terrapins? Find out in this report.

"It was just great," said Dukes. "The coaching staff, the players, the academics, I'm more sold than I've ever been before. It really couldn't have gone any better."

Dukes also indicated that him and Greg Walker got along great. "You know he just told me to get my work done in the weight room and in the class room and that everything would be fine," said Dukes.

In terms of the commitment rumors, the senior offensive lineman had several comments about which players might have pulled the trigger.

"I think Anthony McDaniel did, and I know that Maurice Nelson and Rodney Kinlaw were both favoring Clemson big time, but I know Rodney is still thinking about Penn State too, so I'm not sure who did and who didn't," added Dukes.

The coaching staff has indicated that Marion will likely see extensive time at tackle next season on the offensive line.

"They want me to play tackle, which is perfect. I talked with Ron West and Coach Bowden about it, and I'd say that I'm firm to Clemson now, without a doubt," said Dukes.

"I probably won't go to Maryland after this weekend, this pretty much did it for me."
