Whiteside Split Down the Middle

Greenville wide receiver Noah Whiteside verbally committed to South Carolina just several weeks ago, yet after taking his official visit to Clemson this past weekend, he has now indicated that he's split once again between Carolina and Clemson. Complete details are inside this report.

Kevin Youngblood hosted Noah Whiteside this past weekend, and after thinking things over once again, it appears as though Clemson is officially back in the running.

"We went out to a party one night and it was great, all the players are real cool, and we all had a good time," said Whiteside.

In terms of his favorites, it now appears as though the senior wide receiver is now split between Clemson and South Carolina once again.

"Yeah, I mean, I'd say I'm between those two schools, and they are both even right now. I'm going probably decide after my visit to South Carolina next weekend," added Whiteside.

Noah also addressed the David Blackwell to Clemson rumors.

"Yeah I talked to him for a while yesterday and he told me that he was coming to Clemson for sure," said Whiteside. "It sounded like a done deal."

For the state's top wide receiver, early playing time appears to be the most important thing out there.

"They told me that they have one spot open and that I could take it next season, and that's important. I want to play early and they said if I work hard that I could, so that's something I'm thinking about," added Whiteside.

Ideally, the staff would have liked to gain a verbal commitment from Noah this weekend, and since that didn't happen, that could possibly delay a potential scholarship offer to Atlanta wide receiver Brandon Allen.
