Dean Will Visit Florida State

Jad Dean, one of the top placekickers in the southeast this year, had a great time this weekend in Clemson for his official visit, the only question that remains is, will make the trip down to see FSU next weekend?

Just like every other recruit we've spoken with so far today, Jad Dean had a great time at Clemson this weekend.

"Everything went perfect, we all had a great time and it was a big weekend for Clemson," said Dean. "Aaron Hunt was my host, and he was great to hang out with. We went out to the Madren center for dinner Friday night and then had dessert at Coach Bowden's house, Saturday we went to the basketball game and met with the coaches some and then we left today."

As far as next season goes, Dean still plans on handling the kickoff duties for the Tigers special teams.

"That's what they've told me, so I'm just looking forward to it. I'll have a chance to compete against Aaron for field goals, but he's pretty solid there so I'm just hoping to learn from him next season," added Dean.

As far as his official visit to Florida State next weekend, Dean says that he'll still make the trip.

"I'm going because we've already had plane reservations and everything for quite some time now, but I'm committed to Clemson and that's not going to change," said Dean.

"They're kicker has already enrolled there, so nothing's going to change for me." We will continue to keep you updated on one of the top placekickers in the country, right up through signing day.

Dean also added one more important nugget of information, "I've been told that we've got as many as 20 verbal commitments right now, but most of them haven't really gone public yet."
