Pilgrim Confirms Capote Verbal Commiment

Clemson verbal commitment Brandon Pilgrim has confirmed that offensive lineman Chris Capote has verbally committed to Clemson University. The decision apparently came down this morning when Capote met with offensive line coach Ron West and Tommy Bowden.

"Coach West has been in contact with me since the spring," said Capote in an earlier interview with CUTigers.com. "He became interested when he saw me at a combine here in South Florida. He's a real nice guy who seems to have a tremendous desire to develop the best O-Line in the country."

Capote was also drawing interest from Colorado State, Boston College, and Rutgers. He now becomes the fourth offensive lineman to commit to Clemson for the 2003 recruiting class.
