Another LB Emerging for Clemson

Although Pompano Beach, Florida linebacker James Martin committed to Wake Forest last month, his committment has been regarded as soft. Is he planning to take his fifth and final official visit? Could Clemson be in the picture?

"I've committed, yes," James said last week when asked if he was a soft commitment to Wake Forest. "That was the day before Christmas. I had been to so many other schools and I just felt like that was the place for me, the academics, and it just seems like another home to me. Also, I could play early.

"I'm going to take my last visit, probably to Clemson next week on the 17th."

"At one time Penn State thought I was a big-time player and that I wasn't interested in them, that I was wasting their time, so they stopped calling. But, when I told them I was real interested, he was real happy and he told me that he wanted to check his scholarships list again. That was a while ago. I haven't been around much."

Is there a chance James could change his mind if he does take another visit?

"There might be a chance," replied Martin. We will continue to keep you updated on Martin's recruitment through signing day.
