The Clemson coaching staff has wrapped up verbal commitment No. 15 for the class of 2010 in Georgia native Garry Peters, CUTigers.com has confirmed.
Peters, the No. 37 cornerback in the nation according to Scout.com, has gone public with his decision, choosing Clemson over Alabama, Maryland, South Carolina and Tennessee.
Peters is up to 20 scholarship offers, including grants from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, and Florida State
As a freshman at Heritage HS (Ga.), Peters played the entire season as a cornerback. Then as a sophomore he played wide receiver and last year he moved to quarterback. This coming fall for his senior season, he'll play both ways, taking snaps under center and refining his coverage skills at corner.
Peters is the third cornerback from Georgia to commit to the Tigers in the last week. Clemson has also received the verbal commitments of Martin Jenkins and Darius Robinson as well.
CUTigers will have more on this breaking story shortly.
