Overmyer Names Clemson #1

Parkview's David Overmyer has been coveted by the Tigers' coaching staff for quite some time, and now it appears the feeling is mutual. In this interview with Scott Kennedy, Overmyer now says that the Tigers are definitely his leader.

David Overmyer is one of the most highly recruited offensive line prospects that is still on the board. He went to Clemson last weekend, and he came away very impressed.

"I had a great time at Clemson," said Overmyer. "Charlie Whitehurst was my host. Clemson was a great place to be. I got along great with the players; They are a close knit group. I still want to take my last two visits. Clemson is definitely my leader right now."

"I'm going to South Carolina this weekend, and I'm going to FSU on the 24th. I might visit still Arkansas on the 31st, but I don't know about that one for sure."

Overmyer, who is teammates with current Clemson verbal commitment Brandon Pilgrim, will likely make his final decision after his last visit.

The senior offensive lineman was pivotal in helping the Panthers to a winning streak of over 40 games and 2 consecutive state championships and is being recruited to Clemson as an offensive tackle.

We will continue to keep you updated on David Overmyer, right up through signing day.
