Young Named Graduate Assistant Coach

Former Tiger offensive lineman Kyle Young has been named as a graduate assistant coach at Clemson University. The announcement was made this morning on The Opening Drive sports show with Will Merritt and Will Bouton.

Young replaces former Clemson wide receiver Justin Watts, who left to take a full time coaching position with Rodney Allison at UT-Chattanooga.

"It's really a dream come true for me," said Young. "I'll be working some with the offensive line. After talking with Coach West over Thanksgiving Break, he said he wanted someone to come in and work with them on the offensive line, so I'll be coming down there to do that."

"We need to sure up the offensive line from this past season. There were some question marks, but there were some highlights too. You look at the South Carolina game, I've never seen a line play better then that game," added Young.

Young has already been involved with the Tigers' recruiting efforts this year, and he was in Clemson last week for the big recruiting extravaganza.

"I met some great guys last weekend, some guys that are really hungry to play football, and some guys that want to go out there and hit somebody for the Clemson Tigers," said Young. Top Stories
