Sources confirmed to CUTigers.com shortly after 9 PM Monday that Sam Cooper actually made his intentions known to the Clemson coaching staff a few days ago.
Yes indeed, he's a Tiger.
Cooper, who received an offer from Clemson after camping in Tigertown earlier this summer, caught five passes for just over 60 yards and a touchdown last season.
He chose the Tigers over offers from Duke and Michigan State, as well as interest from several other schools.
Cooper was not immediately available for comment.
The Tennessee native is commitment No. 10 for the Clemson coaching staff in the 2010 recruiting class, and the first tight end to give his pledge to the orange and purple.
CUTigers will have more on this breaking story shortly.
