Nelson Still Favoring Clemson

Crestwood strong safety Maurice Nelson did in fact visit the Gamecocks this past weekend, and after thinking even more about his decision, he still came away from Columbia favoring the Tigers. What's left on the recruiting agenda for this standout prospect?

"Yeah I went there this weekend and I had a really good time," said Nelson. "I'm still leaning to Clemson. I'm going to Maryland on the 24th and Georgia on the 31st. I still want to take all of my visits before I make a decision."

South Carolina cornerback Rachiem Monroe was Nelson's host. The senior rover prospect in the Tigers' defense will take trips to Maryland and Georgia before announcing his decision on signing day.

"I'm still going to take the rest of my visits before announcing on signing day," added Nelson. "I'm keeping my options open, but Clemson still has the lead."
