5-Star Cornerback Annouces Clemson

As first announced here on CUTigers.com early Friday afternoon, 5-star cornerback Brian Staley has committed to play football for Clemson University. Staley will get the opportunity to claim a starting cornerback position next year.

Staley becomes the second prospect that has publically announced a verbal commitment to Clemson in the secondary. It is believed that Greer's Sergio Gilliam will also get a hard look at free safety and/or cornerback in the coming years.

Staley also represents the first 5-star commitment to Clemson. The Aiken native recorded 16 interceptions in his two years of playing football at Georgia Military Acedemy. His freshman year, he returned 6 of those INTs for scores.

Staley orginally committed to Clemson out Aiken High School, before heading to Georgia Military Academy to get his grades in order.
