Did Clemson Offer Curtis Rice?

Curtis Rice, an outstanding linebacker prospect out of Union High School, was in Clemson this weekend for his official visit and was hosted by former Yellow Jacket Kyle Browning. The question on everyone'd mind is, did he receive a scholarship offer?

"Yeah, Coach Stock said that they are offering me a scholarship, so yes, they offered," said Rice.

"The visit was great, I got to hang out with Kyle, Tye Hill, and Mo Fountain a lot. They really made me feel at home," added Rice.

Rice spent an extensive amount of time talking with Coach Stockstill this weekend, and he'll now take two more official visits. One to South Carolina on January 31st, and one to UT Chattanooga, which has yet to be set.

"I'm staying wide open right now," said Rice. "But it will come down to Clemson, South Carolina, and UT Chattanooga.

When asked what really stood out in his mind about this weekend's visit, Rice responded, "I just enjoyed hanging out with the players, they made me feel comfortable, and I can definitely see myself playing at Clemson."

It appears as though Rice was not formally offered a scholarship by Clemson. Union head coach Mike Anthony has said that an offer could still be in the works, but the Tigers will look at several other prospects first before deciding on Rice.
