"It's just Clemson"

Another commitment could be coming Clemson's way this weekend when this Alabama running back arrives to Tigertown for a second visit.

RB Demont Buice Profile

Demont Buice has been favoring the Clemson Tigers for quite some time, and he very well could be on the verge of ending his recruitment this weekend.

Buice said Tuesday since he's leaning towards a Clemson commitment there's no need to look elsewhere at this point.

"I'm not really considering anybody right now because it's just Clemson," Buice said.

Despite the lack of an official offer, Buice could have one his way on Saturday. Chances are it will lock him into the orange and purple with good friend Desmond Brown, who committed to Clemson mid-July.

"He was leaning toward Tennessee and I told him, ‘You need to check out Clemson before you do anything.' I thought I might go to Clemson," Buice said. "He went up there, liked it and before I knew it he committed. He told me that he is waiting on me."

As a sophomore, Buice rushed 196 times for 2,263 yards and 47 touchdowns.

Last year, he had 1,650 yards on 177 carries and 25 touchdowns, after missing four games with separate injuries to his left ankle and right quadriceps muscle.

Still, he was named the Class 1A Back of the Year, a First Team All-State RB and the Gadsden Times All-County Offensive Player of the Year.

Missing those games, which included a playoff date, didn't sit well.

"I wanted to play, of course, I didn't like it," he said. "But this year, I'm hopefully going to be better on the field."

This Tigers will be in full pads at Saturday's practice and Buice is interested to see what it's all about.

"I'm interested to see what it's like when they're in full pads. I just want to see what I'm dealing with and to see if it looks good," he said.

Buice is 6-foot-2 220-pounds. His current offer list include Kentucky, Louisville and Ole Miss.
