"I'm still waiting on Clemson and they were to offer I would have to reconsider my commitment to Troy State," said Allen. "I'm going to North Carolina this weekend, and you never know what might happen there too."
Allen led Westlake to a 9-3 record by bringing in 57 catches for 1,418 yards and 17 touchdowns.
The senior wide receiver officially visited Clemson this past weekend, but did not receive an a scholaship offer from recruiting coordinator Rick Stockstill.
With Chris Jefferson's verbal commitment already in the books, it looks as though the Tigers are banking on a verbal commitment from Noah Whiteside to fill their needs at wide out this year.
If Whiteside decides to go to South Carolina, Allen could receive an offer, or the Tigers could just stay with one wide receiver in the 2003 class considering that Roscoe Crosby and Tennessee transfer Michael Collins are penciled in to play next season.
Allen maintains that if Clemson were to move in with an offer, he would likely decommit from Troy State. We will continue to keep you updated on Brandon Allen's situation, right up through signing day.
