Hargrave Lineman Commits to Clemson

Chris McDuffie, a standout lineman that could play on either side of the ball, has verbally committed to play football for Clemson University. McDuffie will come to Clemson with a 6-4, 310-pound frame. His latest 40-time is right at 5 seconds flat.

Coach Prunty confirmed this commitment for TheInsiders.com just moments ago. Assistant coach Thielen Smith received the verbal commitment from McDuffie earlier today.

Chris McDuffie is a big line prospect from Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, VA that was extremely impressive at the combine that was held in December. McDuffie ran a 5.05 forty on the hard court at 6-4 and 310 pounds. He also had an impressive shuttle time of 4.22.

"He committed to Clemson today," said Coach Robert Prunty. "He's a great pass and run blocker. His biggest asset is his speed. We've had him as low as 4.9 at 315 pounds. He could play either offensive line or defensive tackle; I'm not sure where Clemson wants him yet."

McDuffie was part of a powerful offensive line that helped lead Hargrave to a 9-1 record last season, and he's going to be taking his services to Clemson for next season.
