CUTigers.com recently asked several Clemson players and coaches to picture a what if scenario:
"If you could run down the hill, by yourself, your name is being announced over the PA speaker and you can chose a song to play, what song is playing (other than Tiger Rag)?"
The responses, as you would expect, varied greatly:
Junior safety DeAndre McDaniel said, "I've got so many favorite songs. I don't know, I'd probably have a Pastor Troy song our something. Maybe ‘We Ready'."
Senior guard Thomas Austin said, "We always used to play ‘Welcome to the Jungle' in high school, which I thought was a cool entrance song. But I also like the song Virginia Tech comes out to, ‘Enter Sandman'. That's cool too.
Ricky Sapp said, "I'd probably pick something crunk. But I don't know what song it would be."
Kyle Parker said, "I had an AC/DC song this past year for baseball. Next year my entrance song will be the theme from ‘Entourage'."
Coach Dabo Swinney said, ‘We are the Champions.'
Jacoby Ford said, "I'd probably pick that Phil Collins, ‘In the Air Tonight.'"
Chris Chancellor said, Plies ‘Who Hotter Than Me'.
Crezdon Butler chose, ‘Go Hard' by DJ Khaled.
Rod McDowell, "There are so many songs. I'd pick ‘Zombie Nation'."
Laughing, Jarvis Jenkins said he'd select ‘Eye of the Tiger.'
The buses pull up around behind the east end zone and the players pile out. The familiar faces will be there leading the charge down the hill: Ford, Swinney and C.J. Spiller.
It's just over a week away.
