Whiteside Commits to South Carolina

The Palmetto State's #1 receiver has decided to play football for South Carolina. Noah Whiteside re-affirmed his commitment to the Gamecocks this afternoon in a meeting with Lou Holtz.

Whiteside has wavered over this decision for quite some time, but now it appears the recruiting process is over with him.

The senior wide out led the state of South Carolina in receiving this past year, bringing in just over 85 catches for 1,700 yards and over 20 touchdowns.

Whiteside met with South Carolina head coach Lou Holtz and assistant Todd Fitch for almost 2 hours Thursday afternoon before making his final decision.

It is believed that Coach Stockstill will try and push for one more visit, but it looks as though Whiteside has made up his mind for good.
